One of Graeme's New Tricks

Graeme has a few new tricks. As we catch them on video, we will try to post them.

Weekend Wedding Trip

This weekend, we went to Nebraska for Matt's cousin Diana's wedding. The trip got off to a rocky start as Graeme was having trouble adjusting to getting comfortable in his new car seat. This led to an early dinner stop at McDonald's in Albert Lea where Graeme got a cool "happy meal" toy to play with....hey, whatever keeps him entertained.

He was pretty tired, and as we mentioned in a previous post, if you volunteer to hold his bottle while he eats, it's on you - well table, this one was on you.

Here is Graeme and Matt all dressed up and ready to go to the wedding.

Graeme's cousin Adrienne was the flower girl at the wedding, here she is walking down the aisle.

Here is Matt's cousin Diana and uncle Ken.

After the wedding we tried to sneak in our own family photo.

We have realized that iphones are great as they serve as our phone, internet machines, way to get in touch with each other without actually having to talk to each other (i.e. texting), and they are a great way to keep Graeme entertained. He especially likes seeing himself in the camera, which is why we end up taking so many self portraits. Here is an attempt at keeping Graeme entertained during dinner.

Congratulations Sam and Diana, we had a great time in Omaha and wish you a very long and happy marriage!

Finally, A Seat at the Table

Graeme got a new booster seat this week, and gave it a try for the first time on Sunday.

As you can probably see from the mess on the tray, he thoroughly enjoyed it.

We also thought we would share this picture of Mr. Sims sitting so nicely since it is hard to get pictures of him like this (he was hoping for some pizza that we were eating at the bar).

Happy Father's Day

To all the Dad's in our lives, keep up the good work! We couldn't get through this thing called life without you.

To Matt, in terms you might understand (and to keep the sappy at bay), my review of you new role of Dad equals a 4: exceeds expectations. Graeme is a lucky boy!

Uh-oh

Graeme has been crawling up a storm lately. Most days he does pretty well navigating the many obstacles our non-baby proofed house has to offer, until now. He bumped his head on the entertainment center and has a good size gash on his eyebrow.

Graeme was also sent home early today with a low-grade fever. It worked out that his 9 month checkup was scheduled for the afternoon so we could get it checked out. The doctor concluded that he didn't know what it was. Potentially another bug from the Petrie dish that is daycare. He is also still harboring some fluid from a previous ear infection which was also a possibility. They were still able to get through the checkup minus the vaccines, which we will schedule for a later date. Dr. Oseid steri stripped the cut on Graeme's eye to hopefully prevent any serious scaring. We think the scar will give him an edge on the playground : )
