More Road Trip With a Bummer Ending

Here are a few more pictures from our trip to Madison a few weeks ago.

The second one is a good indication of what happens when you try to take too many pictures - hair pulling, crying, etc.

After a long car ride (i.e. a four hour nap) Graeme was in a good mood, so we took advantage of the opportunity to take a family photo.

Unfortunately when we got home, we found that our air condition was not working. Our house was 85 degrees when we got home on Sunday - yikes.

Here is a sweaty Graemebo after he had calmed down from the all of the excitement.

Fortunately we were able to fix the air conditioner the next day at a not too costly price.

Baptism Part II

So we are only about a month late in posting Part II, but better late than never right?

Saturday before the baptism, Graeme had all of his cousins over to play. We managed to get one good picture before the tears started.

We also wanted to make sure that we were able to post the family pictures that people shared with us.

Just us.

Friends in Christ (Graeme is waving to the camera in this one - or maybe just scratching his head - TBD)

Road trip

This past weekend was spent in Madison. Graeme and I participated in the Race for the Cure with Grandma Janice, Auntie Tommi, Cousin's Trish and Patricia. We walked in memory of my Aunt Pat who we lost to breast cancer many years ago. I have been terrible at taking pictures as of late so hopefully one of the others in the group can help me out. It was a great event. Tons of people, decent weather and lots of freebies! We walked the 5k course and even ran into grandpa Kim who's company sponsored a water station along the route.
Mom and Trish at the starting line

And we're off!

A photo op in front of the Capitol. Graeme borrowed A pink hat from Patricia for the occasion.

Memorial day and developments

My gmail account got hacked a couple of weeks ago and it took me until now to get my mobile blogging capabilities back. Here we go!

We spent a lot of Memorial Day either entertaining or being entertained. Trevor and Alyssa were in town for a wedding but hung out with us during their downtime. We tried Burger Jones for dinner. It was delicious. Graeme just had a coaster...

We spent a lot of time watching TV or the guys play video games. Graeme just had a remote...

We met Kristen, Tom, Maddie and Jacey at the horse track on Saturday. Although the weather was being difficult, we had a good time. Sitting in section 'g'.

In other news, we are going to have a crawler on our hands soon! Graeme has been getting up on all fours and rocking back and forth...only to sit back down for several weeks now. In addition, he's starting to pull himself up on things. I'm sure once we get rid on this darn ear infection (started prescription number three for the same infection this week!) Graeme will be able to focus on his development vs. trying to get healthy.

8 Months Already?

Here are some pics of Graeme at 8 months (plus 10 days). Getting a picture of him sitting still is a little harder than it used to be.

Baptism Part I

Graeme was baptized on Sunday. We had the whole family up for the event, including both sets of grandparents, Great Grandma, the Chris and Meg clan, and Ryan, Tommi and crew.

Graeme did great, he didn't cry at all (other than the beginning of the ceremony during some of the prayers - mostly because he needed a nap).

We are happy to have our friends Paul and Kendra as Graeme's godparents and friends-in-Christ.

Most of the family pictures were taken on other family members' cameras, so we are at their mercy for other pictures from the day (hint, hint).

Swimming Update

Not sure if you can really count this as swimming (perhaps napping in the pool is a better description),

but at least you can see that Graeme is in the pool and not crying. He has been to four swimming lessons now, and the teachers tell us that he is already "swimming" like a fish. He has at least started to flap his arms and kick his legs every now and again.

Proof that Graeme has even left happy from lessons a few times.
